| The emblem of the West Vancouver Garden Club is the Queen Elizabeth Rose. The aims and objectives of the Club were mainly educational: 1) The beautification of West Vancouver; 2) To encourage knowledge of plants and gardens; and 3) To exchange ideas and offer suggestions on improvement of our community. The membership fee was $2.00. The West Vancouver Garden Club was incorporated as a Society under the Societies Act of British Columbia on March 26, 1964. The West Vancouver Garden Club has continued through all these years with few changes. The emblem and the aims and objectives remain the same, however, we have increased our membership fee over the years to $25.00 per year. The membership continually increased to approximately 300 members but today we have about 160 paid up members. |
