I would like to add the following, as I found Karin to be an incredible gardening friend:

She showed her enthusiasm in not only creating a beautiful garden on such a steep terrain on St. Giles Road, she had to be a “mountain goat”. The positive feedback on any plant you shared with her, always gave pleasure. She practiced homeopathy in sprouting legumes and seeds. Made “energy soup” early mornings to share with husband and their daughters Yvonne and Gigi. Her cold frame where she always grew lettuce from seed, you had to be very agile. She had compassion for stray dogs and cats and they were only fed with organic food that she made. At age 82 was still scuba diving and taught much younger people how. She was a “match-maker”! She was so creative in her garden, always working hard on it!

I shall always remember Karin’s friendly chuckle.
