Gardening & Botany in Vancouver - Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014 at 7 p.m.
Margery Thomas has been visiting the Vancouver region regularly since 2007. A keen gardener and botanist, Margery has enjoyed learning about gardening conditions and styles in this friendly multi-cultural region, but particularly in North Vancouver, a city on the lower flanks of the mountains looking across Burrard Inlet to Vancouver city. She has been thrilled to find favourites of the English garden in their native habitat, from trilliums to flowering currant. So this talk will introduce some of those native plants and some of the challenges and delights of gardening in the spectacular Pacific Northwest. Wonderful photography will delight you!
