Conway Lum spoke to us back in November 2022 on ‘Plants to Create a Winter Garden’.
Conway graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in plant science (ornamental horticulture) and botany, and is a professional Agrologist.
He is currently working for GardenWorks@Mandeville (originally Mandeville Garden Centre located at corner of Nelson St. and Marine Drive, Burnaby) where he has provided expert advice and conducted workshops since 1988. Conway is a well-known Vancouver-area gardening expert, specializing in plant problems, pest control, and sustainable gardening practices. He is a Certified Horticultural Technician (CHT); a past contributor to the “Ask-the Pro” column in BC living (Garden Wise) magazine; a past evening instructor for New Westminster Continuing Education for gardening classes and served on the European Chafer advisory committee in 2001.
Conway’s talk will provide tips on starting seeds versus cuttings, examples of different plants, micropropagation, and more.
